Two Kenyan Women Who Fought Over Customer Arraigned In Court

Reading Time: 1 minute

Two women in Kenya were on Monday arraigned in court and charged with fighting in a public area.

Sarah Hope Luyemba and Vivian Esther Agutu fought on September 10, 2022, along Moi Avenue Street within Nairobi Central Business District.

The court heard that the two ladies were at work on the material day, calling out clients. When a customer approached one of the ladies' shops, they began pulling the customer and ended up fighting.

Muchemi, the trial magistrate, attempted to find out why the two were fighting. They stated that the economy is extremely difficult, so they attempted to win the customer.

Muchemi ordered the two to settle out of court and appear before her on November 5.

They are free on Ksh5000 ($50) cash bail.
