Two teachers die in a road crash in central Kenya

Two teachers were killed in a road accident on Sunday night at Kiangwaci on the Sagana-Karatina route in Ndia, Kirinyaga County, central Kenya.

The teachers from Kiine Girls Secondary School died after a motorcycle they were driving in was hit by a vehicle. They were heading to Sagan when the accident occurred.

According to Ndia Sub-county Police Commander David Kabina, a 42-year-old male teacher was riding on a motorcycle with his 37-year-old colleague when they were hit by an oncoming vehicle.

Mr. Kabina stated that a manhunt is underway to find the driver of the car who fled after causing the collision.

The bodies of the teachers were transferred to the nearest morgue.
