Ukraine’s Ambassador to Kenya, Andril Pravednyk, has revealed that Ukraine will partner with Kenya in e-government.
The ambassador also said that the two nations will collaborate in providing IT solutions and offering students courses on Block Chain Technology.
Amb. Andril spoke on Wednesday during a consultative meeting with the Information, Communications and Digital Economy Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo.

Amb. Pravednyk lauded Kenya for its significant strides in digitalising its services since 2018 and in rolling out 5G mobile network connectivity in Nairobi and its environs.
Citing that Ukraine had already collaborated with Strathmore University to offer Special courses on Block Chain Technology to students, Amb. Pravednyk exuded confidence in his country’s capability to work with Kenya in Cyber security.
“The Russian invasion showed that it’s really not just a conventional war against Ukraine, but it’s also the first time in the history of mankind that Cybercrime has been used on a large scale as a weapon, and we have robust experience on countermeasures which we will be happy to share with any country which might be interested. This will involve how to provide Cyber security to the government, the Private sector and to ordinary citizens,” said Pravednyk.
On his part, Owalo said that the Kenyan government is rolling out 100,000 Kms of fibre optic cables, free public WiFi hotspots, digitising government records and digitalising government services, enhancing e-commerce through the operationalisation of a National Addressing System.
