The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Wednesday donated 15 vehicles to the National Police Service (NPS).

In a statement, NPS said the vehicles will be used in Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee Camps in northeastern and northern Kenya, respectively.

The vehicles were received and flagged off by the Principal Secretary State Department for Citizen Services Amb. Julius Bitok on behalf of the Kenyan government.

While handing over the vehicles to the NPS Director of Planning and Finance, Mr. David Njagi, in the presence of the Chief Transport Officer APS, Mr. Edward Achola, the PS pointed out that the vehicles will enhance police mobility and efficiency in providing security to the public.
