Police are holding a 22-year-old woman suspected of stabbing her husband, Titus, in Kerenget, Kenya’s Rift Valley.
The woman, identified as Yuna, who was arrested on Thursday evening, informed police that her husband came to their rented apartment and demanded food.
Further, she alleged that while cooking for him, they disagreed, and the husband slapped her. In turn, she took a kitchen knife and stabbed him on the left side of the chest.

The husband was rushed by neighbours to Keringet Sub-County Hospital, from where he was referred to Olenguruone Hospital for further treatment while in critical condition.
The accused was arrested and placed in custody, awaiting processing and arraignment.
“We appeal to the public to report all domestic and gender-based violence incidents to police for legal action,” said the police.
