A woman found trafficking more than 135 kg of bhang has been arraigned at the SRM court in Kwale, Kenya’s Coast.
The suspect was arrested on Saturday in Mombasa by anti-narcotics officers.
Regina Akoth Kungu, 30, was arrested at her house in Kwa Musa in Diani.

During her arrest, several gunny bags containing the prohibited drug and Ksh12,100 ($90), believed to be proceeds of her peddling, were seized.
She pleaded not guilty and was released on a cash bail of Ksh50,000 ($373). The case will be mentioned on April 30, 2024.
