Police have apprehended a male suspect accused of killing a woman at Kilae Sub-location in Narok County, west of Nairobi.

The Suspect, Patrick Mujitwa, was nabbed by National Police Service (NPS) officers from Lolgorian Police Station alongside their Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Transmara South colleagues.

Mr. Patrick is accused of hacking to death a woman, 45, under mysterious circumstances.

After committing the heinous act, he tried escaping from the scene, but the public members arrested him and tied him with a rope.

However, he managed to escape from the hands of public members who were baying for his blood before being re-arrested.

“We found the body of the woman lying in a pool of blood with multiple deep cuts on the head, deep cut on the right hand at the elbow, a cut on the abdomen and a deep cut on the right leg,” said the police.

Some of the exhibits recovered from the suspect’s compound include a pair of gumboots, a slasher and a crowbar, all stained with blood.

The body was transferred to the morgue awaiting autopsy, while the suspect is in police custody pending arraignment.
