DP Ruto kicks off 3-Day UK tour

Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto has begun his 3-day tour in the U.K.

Ruto arrived in London on Sunday, March 6, 2022, and was received by Kenya’s High Commissioner to the UK, Manoah Esipisu.

During the visit, Ruto will hold bilateral consultations with the British government before visiting the Whitehall and parliament.

He will also engage policymakers, business leaders and Kenyans in the European country.

“Highlights of his public engagements include a conversation with the Archbishop of Canterbury and a Marlborough Peace Dialogues Keynote speech at the Commonwealth Secretariat,” read part of the statement released by his campaign secretariat.

Ruto’s visit to UK began a day after wrapping up his trip to the U.S.

“The William Ruto Presidential Campaign registers our appreciation to the government of the United States of America for the time, courtesies and support afforded to Deputy President William Ruto…” reads the statement.

Ruto will battle it out with AU infrastructure Raila in the presidential race slated for August 9, 2022.
