Kirinyaga Woman Representative Wangui Ngirici has given a hint indicating that her support for Deputy President William Ruto is dwindling.
Wangui told Kirinyaga residents in central Kenya on Sunday, December 26, 2021, to vote for whoever they deem suitable to be the President of Kenyatta.
She asked the residents to vote for Ruto, Raila Odinga, or Musalia Mudavadi.
“Those who want to vote for Ruto, I have no problem hey should vote for him, those who prefer Raila, I have no issue, vote for him and those who want Mudavadi should do the same,” she said.
Nevertheless, she noted that she has no plans to shelve her gubernatorial ambition, maintaining that she will be on the ballot.
She divulged plans to rig her out of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party nominations.
“In August 2020, in the Kirinyaga gubernatorial race, Purity Wangui Ngirici will be on the ballot, and my supporters should not worry about that. It should also serve as breaking news for those who want to rig me out in the nominations,” once an ardent Ruto supporter said.
Wangui will fight the seat with the incumbent Anne Waiguru, who joined Ruto’s UDA and former justice minister Martha Karua.©Standard Gazette, 2021.
