Justice Daniel Musinga is the new Kenya’s Court of Appeal President.
He was elected by judges of the Court of Appeal to serve for a five year term.
Justice Musinga replaces Justice William Ouko who was appointed as a Supreme Court Judge. Justice Ouko was sworn in on Friday alongside the new Chief Justice Martha Koome in a ceremony held at the State House in Nairobi.
Musinga’s new appointment comes barely five months after the retired Chief Justice David Maraga appointed him chairman of the Judiciary Committee on elections.
He began his career as an advocate in 1988 before quitting to start his law firm. He rejoined the Judiciary in 2003 where he has been working till date.
