One Kenya Alliance (OKA) will choose its flag bearer in October, said Kalonzo Musyoka, Wiper party leader.
Kalonzo spoke in Nakuru, northwest of Nairobi while popularizing his presidential bid.
The coalition brings together KANU boss Gideon Moi, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka, and their Ford-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula.
“OKA is a steadfast and holy alliance. We have agreed to take crucial steps to guarantee that the leadership of OKA and any potential grand alliance is clear,” said Kalonzo.
The former vice president decried over rampant corruption in the country, calling on Kenyans to elect people of high integrity.
He said that if elected President, his government will not condone graft.
“It can’t be that I steal from Kenyans today and then return the next day with the same money promising to improve their lives.
“If Kenyans elect me to govern the country, I will make sure that bribery and other forms of corruption are consigned to history. “Not in my government,” he said.
Kalonzo noted that the outfit will work with other like-minded people.
“We need more people to help us reach a national consensus. Nobody, even Raila, and the President should be afraid to join us in shaping the country’s next government,” said the President,” he added©Standard Gazette, 2021.
