Opposition leaders to attend Jubilee party’s Delegates Conference

Kenya's ruling party, Jubilee, will invite the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to its Delegates Conference slated for November 30, 2021.

A source within the party revealed to the local daily that Kalonzo Musyoka and Gideon Moi, members of One Kenya Alliance (OKA), will also be invited to the much-anticipated event.

However, the source did not divulge whether ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi and his Ford Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula will be invited.

“The day will be about the NDC adopting a working arrangement with ODM. Given that we already have a pact with Kanu and Wiper, it only follows that Raila’s party will be invited,” noted the source.

During the conference, the party will review, formulate and/or approve all party policies.

The ruling party will also consider, amend, review/or ratify the party constitution to ensure compliance with the Constitution and the Political Parties Act.

Also to be considered during the convention are “other matters referred by the National Executive Committee or the National Governing Council.”

The conference will be held at Kasarani Stadium, outskirts of Nairobi.
