Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga is the preferred Kenyan presidential candidate, says a survey.

The survey by Trends and Insights Africa (TIFA) placed the Azimio La Umoja Presidential flagbearer at 42 per cent ahead of his arch-rival William Ruto who has 39 per cent.

The research was conducted between June 25 and 30, 2022.

Professor George Wajackoyah of the Root Party was the third most preferred presidential candidate, with 4% of respondents saying they would vote for him.

The poll shows that Odinga is most popular in Nairobi, lower Eastern, Coast, South Rift, and Western regions.

On the other hand, Ruto is famous in Central and North Rift, Mt. Kenya, and Northern Regions.

According to the survey, 10% of Kenyans are still undecided about their presidential candidate, while 5% did not respond.
