Senator Peter Ndwiga Ditches UDA

William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has suffered a massive blow after Embu Senator Peter Ndwiga ditched the party.

Ndigwa’s move comes less than a week after he lost in UDA’s nominations.

He received 19,062 votes, while Deputy Governor David Kariuki received 27,000 votes in the nominations.

Ndwiga, on the other hand, claimed that the primaries were marred by obvious irregularities.

He announced that he will run as an independent in the upcoming August General Election.

Ndwiga stated that because a large number of Embu residents did not vote, he will be able to garner more votes and win the election.
