President Uhuru Kenyatta has made new changes in his cabinet.
In changes announced by State House on Wednesday, CS Monica Juma has been moved from the Ministry of Defence to Energy.
Energy CS Charles Keter has been handed Devolution docket while Eugine Wamalwa is the new Defence CS from Devolution.
Four Principal Secretaries have also been reshuffled.
Gordon Kihalangwa from the state department of Public Works has joined Energy, whereas PS Transport Solomon Kitungu has been moved to Public Works.
Joseph Njoroge is the Transport PS from Energy, and Nelson Marwa is the Social Protection, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programmes.
President Kenyatta also reorganized and transferred duties within the government system.
He moved the State Department for ASALs and the State Department for Social Protection, Pensions, and Senior Citizens to the Ministry of Public Service and Gender.
The Department of Special Programmes was transferred to the newly renamed State Department for Social Protection, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programmes.
The Ministry of Devolution & ASALs was renamed the Ministry of Devolution by the Head of State.
The Ministry of Public Service and Gender was renamed the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programs, while the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection was renamed the Ministry of Labour.
Prof. Margaret Kobia will lead the Ministry of Public Service, Gender, Senior Citizens Affairs, and Special Programs, which has been reorganized.
