Two Charged In Connection To An Assault On Emergency Worker In Hackney

The London Police have charged two persons in connection to an assault on the emergency worker.

The duo was also charged with offences concerning an unlicensed music event in Hackney.

Devonte Perkins, 18, of Sibley Grove, Newham and Brandon Elabor, 18, of Tanglewood Close, Uxbridge used threatening, abusive, insulting words of behaviour to cause fear of violence, the Met alleged.

The Police said the action contravened Section 4 Public Order Act, 1986.

Devonte has now been remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on Monday, July 20. while Tanglewood will appear at the same court on September 11.

Police were called on July 17 at 23:00hrs to reports of an unlicensed music event on the Woodberry Down Estate in Hackney.

The residence had reported noise and anti-social behaviour

Specially trained public order officer arrived the estate to disperse the group but were met with hostility and violence.

The party seeker threw bottles, canisters and a bicycle at the police.

The police were able to clear the crowd by around 04:00hrs.
