16-year-old boy stabbed to death in Lewisham

A teenage boy has been stabbed to death in New Cross, Lewisham.

The incident happened at a boxing club On Angus Street.

The police were called at 4.04 pm to the venue after a fight broke out.

The police and London Ambulance Service attended and found a 16-year-old boy with a stab wound.

Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene despite best efforts.

The police said no arrests had been made.

A crime scene has remained in place with emergency section 60 stop and search powers authorized for the entire Borough of Lewisham.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with useful information to contact the police on 101 quoting CAD 4776/13APR.=
