Met police have launched a murder investigation after a teenager was stabbed to death in West London.
The incident happened on Friday, 24 May, at 13:30hrs on Bourne Avenue, Hayes.
Officers and London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance paramedics attended within minutes, and despite best efforts, the teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police said the victim was 16 years old. According to the police statement on Friday evening, his next of kin has been informed and is being supported by specially trained officers.
A crime scene remains in place.
No arrest has been made as the investigation is in the early stages.
The lead policing in Hillingdon, Chief Superintendent Sean Wilson, said, “I am so saddened to confirm that another teenager has lost his life to knife crime on our streets.
“There will be a significant policing presence in the area as homicide detectives work to trace whoever is responsible for this terrible incident.
“I urge you to come forward and speak to us immediately if you have information or material that can help us.”
