Kadian Nelson, a man suspected to have raped a teenage girl in Merton have been charged to court.
Detectives investigating the alleged rape charged Nelson, 26, on 4 November.
The suspect, from Mitcham area, was arrested in the evening of 3 November after he allegedly kidnapped and raped a teenage girl.
He is due to appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today, Thursday, 5 November.
Nelson was declared wanted by the police and released his image following the alleged rape on Tuesday afternoon.
After the report, officers from the South West Command Unit had conducted extensive enquiries to locate the man.
The police were called shortly after 07:00hrs to the North Place area on Tuesday, 3 November.
Detectives said the teenage girl and her family are supported by specialist officers.
Police thanked members of the public for assisting in his arrest while reminding the people to be mindful of sharing information via social media that could identify the alleged victim or affect any potential future proceedings.
