A 28-year-old man has been stabbed to death in broad day light in East London.

Police and Emergency service were called to Stondon Walk, East Harm, around 3.30pm on Tuesday following a report of an assault on a man.

Upon arrival, they found a 28-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.

Efforts to save his life failed as he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The police said there have been no arrest, however, investigation is underway.

Residents will see an increased police presence in the area while inquiries continue.

The Metropolitan police have also activated SEction 60 Order around E6, E7, E13, and E16 until Wednesday morning at 7.40.

The police said it took the decision to “prevent further violent incident.”
