Cumbria Police Arrest Man After Failed Attempt To Abduct Two Kids In Barrow Park

A mother was horrified after a man in his 40s attempted to abduct her two children in front of her.

The police said the man has been arrested and is currently in custody.

The incident happened on Wednesday at Barrow Park in Cumbria.

The incident was reported to the police at around 13:10hrs by a park ranger after a member of the public reported the matter to him.

Cumbria police have launched an investigation into the attempted abduction and urged the woman who reported the incident to the children's mom and the park ranger to contact the police online at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit, quoting incident number 76 of 29th December 2021.

The police think the woman can assist with useful information in their investigation.

The woman is blond and was wearing a beige coat, and was with a man and a girl at the time of the incident.
