Man arrested after 20yrs old Julian Ebanks-Ford stabbed to death in Lewisham

Met Police have arrested a man in connection to the fatal stabbing in Lewisham, South East London

Detectives investigating the murder disclosed the development on Sunday.

Police were called at 00:58hrs on Friday, 4 August, to Kender Street, at the junction with Queen’s Road, SE15, after a man was stabbed.

Officers and London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended and found the victim, identified as Julian Ebanks-Ford, 20, with stab wounds at the scene.

Julian was taken to a South London hospital in critical condition and was pronounced dead the afternoon of the same day.

His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The murder investigation was launched by Detectives Chief Inspector Chris Wood, and on Saturday, a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

He remains in police custody, a police statement said.

Detective Chief Inspector Chris Wood said: “Although we have now made an arrest, I am continuing to appeal for anyone who was in the area of Kender Street to come forward and speak with us. We need to know what happened in the moments leading up to Julian being stabbed.

“Were your there? Did you see or hear anything suspicious? Please get in contact as a matter of urgency.”
