A 39-year-old man has remained in a critical condition after he was shot in East London.
The incident happened on Tuesday 6 October after 04:00hrs on Reede Road in Dagenham.
The man, found with gunshot wounds, and a 32-year-old woman found with minor injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers, including firearms officers, attended the scene.
Trident detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating the incident, and are working closely with their colleagues on the East Area Borough Command Unit.
The 39-year-old man remains in ‘critical condition’ the met police said on Tuesday.
No arrests have been made at this time.
A crime scene has remained in place, and the police said there will be an enhanced police presence in the area for the time being.
