Met Police Identify man who stabbed to death in Farringdon

The Metropolitan Police have identified the victim of the fatal stabbing in Farringdon as Abdul-Latif Pouget, 20, a resident of Camden.

He passed away in the hospital on the morning of October 21st after being stabbed.

An investigation was initiated after the police received a call about a moped colliding with a wall on Back Hill, EC1, at 9:36 pm on Friday, October 18th.

Paramedics discovered that Abdul-Latif had been stabbed while they were treating him. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Abdul-Latif’s family has been informed and is receiving support from special officers.

Oguzcan Dereli, 26, a resident of Islington, was arrested on October 20th and charged on October 21.

He appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on October 22nd and has been remanded in custody for a hearing at the Old Bailey on October 24th.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with useful information concerning the incident to call 101 or X @MetCC and quote reference CAD 8294/18Oct.
