Murder Investigations launched after double fatal stabbings in Greenwich

Police have launched murder investigations following double fatal stabbings in Greenwich.

The incident happened on Saturday, 26 November, at around 17;10hrs.

Police were called to the reports of people injured in Sewell Road, Abbey Wood, and Titmuss Avenue, Thamesmead.

The locations are approximately one mile apart.

London Metropolitan Police, Ambulance Service, and London's Air Ambulance attended and found 16-year-old males with stab wounds.

Despite best efforts, they were pronounced dead at the scene at each location.

Police have put crime scenes in place, and investigations have been launched into the death of both males.

Investigators have yet to establish links between both incidents.

Their next of kin will be supported by Specialist officers, a police statement said on Saturday evening.

A Section 60 order, providing officers with additional search powers, is in place until 08:00hrs on Sunday, 27 November.
