Police declare tipper truck driver that rammed into police car in Lambeth wanted
A tipper truck rammed into a police car in Landor Road, Stockwell, in Lambeth.
The incident happened on Friday, 15 April, around 10:50hrs.
Officers in a marked police car on Landor road indicated for a yellow and black Ford Transit tipper truck to stop.
Police said it was a routine traffic stop, initiated because of the manner of the driving and the damage on the vehicle.
Sighting the officer, the tipper driver reserved at speed into the bonnet of the police car, causing extensive damage.
Two officers at the scene were injured. One was taken to the hospital for injuries to his head and had since been discharged, while the second officer was assessed at the scene by paramedics.
Investigators are appealing for the public's help to trace the tipper truck following an image released.
The truck is yellow and black in colour, with a damaged mirror on one side. The registration is believed to be FA04 UZW, although the F is missing from the rear number plate.
