Police launch Murder Investigation After Man In His 20s Fatally Shot In Brixton

A man in his 20 is dead following a shooting in Brixton.

The incident happened on Thursday, 21 October, around 06:25hrs.

The staff of a South London Hospital alerted the police after a man suffering from gunshot injuries was admitted.

Despite the effort by emergency services, he was pronounced dead in the afternoon.

The police were informed that the man was shot on Belinda Road, near Loughborough Junction Station, SW9.

A crime scene is now in place.

A video posted by a Twitter handle @Dwaynamics said “we can’t be relaxed with this, there is a lot going on” while calling on the police to uproot the bad seed, work together to solve the street violence.

No arrest has been made as enquiries continue into the circumstances.

Officers would be patrolling in the area, and residents with useful information are advised to speak with them or call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 1151/21Oct.
