A teenage boy has been stabbed to death in Croydon.
The incident happened on London Road, West Croydon, on Thursday 18 November, at 18:41hrs.
The police were called to a report of a fight in progress among a group of people.
Upon arrival, no suspects or victims were found.
At 07:08hrs, police received a call from South London Hospital after a teenage boy came to the hospital with stabbed wounds.
Despite the effort, the boy was pronounced dead a short time later.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed, the police said on Thursday evening.
A post mortem would be carried out in due course.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Special Crime Command have launched a murder investigation.
Section 60 is currently in place in Broad Green, Fairfield, Waddon, West Thornton, Bensham Manor, Selhurst and Addiscombe West until 10.35hrs on 19 November.
