A woman in her 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man was stabbed in Hackney.
The incident happened at a property in Stamford Hill, N16.
The police were called to report a stabbing at 10.52hrs on Friday.
Officers found a man in his 30s with stab injuries.
He was treated at the scene by officers who carried out CPR before the arrival of paramedics from the London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance.
Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
A 31-year-old woman, believed to be known to the man, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
She has been taken into custody.
Investigators are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command have been informed.
A crime scene has been put in place as enquiries continue.
The police said a post mortem would be carried out in due course.
