Police have "taken down" a gunman after shooting multiple people in Oklahoma on Wednesday.
The Tulsa Police Department said police responded to an "active shooter situation" at the Natalie Medical Building, St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, and the shooter is now neutralized.
According to The Associated Press, multiple people were wounded, and some were killed.
The Tulsa Police posted on its Facebook that "Earlier this afternoon, we responded to a call about a man armed with a rifle at the Natalie Building at St. Francis Hospital.
"This turned into an active shooter situation. At this point, we can confirm the shooter is down at this time.
"Officers are currently going through every room in the building, checking for additional threats. We know there are multiple injuries and potentially multiple casualties."
NBCNews reported that three people were killed and many injured in what is described as "a man armed with a rifle attack."
The incident happened around 5pm, according to the Police Capt. Richard Meulenberg, saying the man entered a building on the hospital campus and turned into an active shooter.
